Agreement
These terms govern your use of the MySavior app for iPhone, listed on the App Store as “Bible Widgets: MySavior”, and of this website. MySavior (“we”, “us”) publishes the app. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms; if you do not agree, please do not use it. Our privacy policy explains how the app handles your data.
Apple’s Standard EULA
The app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These terms add to the Standard EULA; where the two conflict about the license itself, the Standard EULA applies. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
Who can use MySavior
You must be at least 13 years old to use MySavior. If you are under the age of majority where you live, use it with the permission of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms for you.
Subscriptions
Some features of MySavior require an auto-renewing subscription bought through the App Store. Before you confirm, the App Store shows each option, its length and its price in your local currency.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- Renewal. A subscription renews automatically for the same length at the end of each period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Managing and canceling. Manage or cancel at any time in Settings › your name › Subscriptions, or from the app in Account › Manage Subscription. Canceling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Introductory offers. If an introductory offer or trial period is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription. If you cancel during a trial, Apple may end your access right away.
- Special offers shown in the app are available only where and while the app shows them.
- Price changes. Apple tells you about a price increase before it applies and, where Apple’s rules or the law require it, asks for your agreement before renewing.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms; we cannot issue them. You can ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
What a subscription includes is described in the app when you subscribe. We may improve, change or remove features over time. The support page has step-by-step instructions for canceling and restoring.
What you create
Designs you save and text you type in the app stay on your iPhone. You are responsible for what you create and share with MySavior, and you must have the right to share it. Images you make with the app are for your personal, non-commercial use, such as your own wallpaper or sharing with friends.
Content and credits
MySavior’s name, logo, design and code, and its built-in prayers, Christian reflections, affirmations and Lock Screen encouragements, belong to MySavior or its licensors. Other content is credited to its sources:
- Unsplash. Photos you find with the in-app Unsplash search, and most of the countdown’s feast photos, are used under the Unsplash License.
- Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons. Saint biographies come from Wikipedia under the CC BY-SA license. Saint photos are the images Wikipedia or Wikimedia Commons shows for that saint, each under the license stated on its file page. Each saint’s page in the app credits Wikipedia and links to the source article.
- Classic paintings. The paintings offered as themes, such as Rembrandt’s The Return of the Prodigal Son, are reproductions from Wikimedia Commons labeled public domain or CC0.
- Fonts are the ones built into iOS.
If you believe something in the app infringes your rights, write to contact@mysavior.app and we will look into it promptly.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- copy, redistribute, sell or rent the app or its built-in content beyond what the Standard EULA and these terms allow;
- reverse engineer the app, except where the law allows it;
- use the app to break the law or to infringe anyone’s rights;
- interfere with the app or with the services it relies on, for example by sending automated requests to Unsplash or Wikipedia through it.
Other services
The app relies on services run by other companies: Apple (App Store, billing, iOS), RevenueCat (subscriptions), Mixpanel (analytics), Meta and TikTok (ad measurement), Unsplash (photos) and the Wikimedia Foundation (saint biographies and photos). Their own terms apply to them, and we are not responsible for their content or availability. When you share to another app, that app’s terms apply.
Feast dates and saints
The countdown calculates feast dates with fixed rules: the Western (Gregorian) date of Easter and the feasts that depend on it, the First Sunday of Advent and US Thanksgiving. Your church or country may keep some feasts on other days, for example Ascension on a Sunday, so check official dates with your parish or church. Saint of the Day is based on the Catholic calendar of saints, and its biographies come from Wikipedia, which can contain mistakes.
Not professional advice
MySavior offers inspirational Christian content. It is not medical, mental-health, legal or financial advice, and it does not replace a pastor, priest, counselor or doctor. If you are in crisis or in danger, contact your local emergency services.
Disclaimer
To the extent the law allows, the app and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. iOS decides when widgets refresh, so we cannot promise that a widget updates at an exact moment. Some features need an internet connection and depend on outside services that may change or stop.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, MySavior is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of the app or this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
Stopping and changes
You can stop using MySavior at any time by deleting the app; remember to cancel any subscription separately. We may change, suspend or stop the app or any feature. We may also update these terms: the “Updated” date at the top of this page shows the latest version, significant changes will be summarized here, and continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim before the courts there when that law allows it.
